Hey guys, so A'cap went to Anaheim (holy crap I can't spell...) Heritage Music Festival and Disneyland last weekend. :D So I'm here to tell you all about my lovely adventures of Disneyland.

THURSDAY

Woke up and got ready to leave for California. My mom had come to Washington for my Confirmation the previous weekend, so she drove me to the airport to see me off because I won't see her until summer. The plane ride was COMPLETELY uneventful and so was checking into the hotel.

Now you all must understand that I have like... NO friends in A'cap. Seriously... I'm completely alone and stranded in California. So I asked someone I semi knew if I could hang out with her and her group. So I spent the whole day Thursday with Juliane, Heather, Annie and Erika. All of which I sorta knew... but who ignored me anyways. Yeah, they tried to be nice... but I was still depressed that I didnt' have any real friends there.

As most of you know, California Adventure is right accross from Disneyland and that's where we hung out all day. Pretty sweet, eh? I went on quite a few rides.

Hollywood Tower of Terror: HOLY CRAP SCARIEST THING EVER. Basically, what they do is sit you down in a cage and hoist you up a few stories. They tell you a story of these people who checked into a hotel and ended up in the Twilight Zone. Then they drop you and your cage a few floors which scared the CRAP out of me. Then, as fast as the elevator/cage goes, they start lifting you up a few stories and dropping you. A bit like the Extreme Scream only pitch black. At the very top, they let you look out over California Adventure and then drop you, but before they completely stop dropping, they lift you up fast and before they completely stop rising, they drop you back down. Let me tell you, that is one heck of a tummy twister. Feels SO weird. and then the ride's over. Yay. We went on this ride a few times before we went off to other rides.

Grizzly Mountain: At least I think that's what it's called. It's a rafting ride and is possibly THE wettest ride you will ever go on. We ended up sharing a raft with three boys who were probably thinking: "HELL YES! SCORE! GIRLS!" Oh joy. Anyways, there are a lot of rapids and drops on this ride and even a gyser (sp?) All of which dumped water on my head. Yay. As we get off the ride, I'm soaking wet and the wettest out of my group.

Juliane, Annie, Heather and Erika all wanted to go on the Extreme Scream look-alike and the roller coaster that goes upside down. I sat out at this point because I had enough of frightening drops and I do NOT do well with upside down.

Then we got Fast passes for Soarin' over California and ate some FREAKING expensive food. Don't eat in Disneyland. Totally not worth it.

Soarin' Over California: BEST FREAKING VIRTUAL RIDE EVER. What they do is sit you down on these huge machines and lift you into this curved in screen. Seriously this thing is HUGE and the images look so real, almost like you can touch it. It's supposed to make it look like you're hang-gliding (and does a very nice job of it). They blow wind in your face and tilt the hang-glide machine to match the images to make it look EXTREMELY real. Totally worth it, if you ever go to Disneyland, check out this ride.

Pretty lame day for being in Disneyland, but whatever. We leave the park at this point in time and the weirdest thing happened as we were walking back to the hotel. We were passing a couple of guys and one of them reached his hand over and groped my butt. That's right. My innocent butt has been violated. Eugh.

I get back to the hotel and I end up talking and getting to know my roomates: Allyssa and Mellany. Very entertaining, let me tell you. And let me also mention that they were WAY nicer to me than Juliane, Annie, Heather and Erika.

FRIDAY

Allyssa, Mellany and I wake up at like... 6:00 am and go to get our free breakfast which consisted of cereal and doughnuts. YUM.

Now they know that I'm a loner in A'cap, so they introduce me to thier friends: Ryan, Jeremy, Mark and Number Two. His name is also Ryan, but for sake of confusion, we all called him #2. So anyways, we show up at their room and start hanging out. I say NOTHING like the entire time. For all of you who don't know, opposite sexes are NOT allowed in each other's rooms. If we are caught, we'll be sent home, suspended and recieve and F in the class. Harsh. So everyone knows that I obey the rules and therefore I stood by the door while Allyssa and Mellany went inside and sat on the beds. Eventually, the boys noticed that I refused to step into the room and were trying to convince me to come in. But I just kinda shook my head and avoided eye contact. (I'm ANTISOCIAL) Ryan then picked up a chair from the opposite side of the room and set it just inside the doorway and made me sit down. Seriously. Everyone took the time to stare at me until I sat down with them. Then they joked around that I was edgy and ready to bolt at the first sign of danger. Conversation went a little like this:

Jeremy: Look, her legs are posed so she can just *immatates getting up and running away in a few seconds*

Ryan: We're not THAT bad are we? Are you afraid of us?

Me: *giggle, smile*

Everyone: HOLY CRAP! Did you see that? She SMILED!

Me: *blush, smile, look down*

Mellany: *GASP* friend! *runs away*

Ryan: You know, Rika... You COULD put your feet up.

Jeremy: Yeah, the devil's not going to steal your soul if you do

Me: lol

Everyone: HOLY CRAP!

Ryan: I think we've made some progress today. First she said hello to me, then she came into the room, then she smiled and now she's LAUGHING.

Anyways, so you can see that they were trying to get me to relax a little. We rode to the actual contest site and performed AWESOMELY. We kicked all kinds of butt and we NAILED Kasar Mie La Ga Ji. Seriously. the rest of Curtis who were watching were like: *jaw drop* wow.

Then I lost my shoes and favorite jacket. Nobody except Mark would help me look, but then we couldn't find them and had to go back inside to watch Valhalla perform. I felt like such an outcast and you know when stuff just kinda builds and then you snap? Yeah, that was kinda how I felt and I started crying. Over the tiniest little thing. Mark was like, "yeah, I think we should go insi... *looks over* ..." He was very awkward at the time and I COULDN'T STOP DANGIT! I did find my clothes eventually (in front of the stage WTF) and I couldn't stop thanking Mark for helping me cuz he was the ONLY one to offer any help whatsoever. YAY!

Freaking all day long we were stuck listening to choirs, bands and orchestras. 9:00 AM till 9:00 PM. That's right. Freaking long day. We eventually went back to the hotel and Ryan came up to our room late at night, right before curfew. That's about when Ryan started joking around with me. He'd give Allyssa and Mellany a hug right before he left and would say to me, "That's right, Rika. Even YOU get a hug" and then he'd hug me. It get's funny later, and I'll EVENTUALLY tell you. But not now.

Well, I'll tell you all about Saturday and Sunday in another journal, because this one's really long. The next one will be longer, I promise you. :D
